Welcome to my research archive. My name is Ioannis Prokopis, a retired Lieutenant General of the Hellenic Army. For years, I have dedicated my life to solving one of history's greatest mysteries: the location of the Unmarked Tomb of Alexander the Great.
This blog serves as a digital repository for the evidence I have gathered—not just from books, but from the ground itself. My approach is unique because it combines:
- Military Terrain Analysis: As a tactical officer, I analyze the logistics and the landscape involved in the relocation of Alexander's remains.
- Oral Traditions & Folklore: I have traveled to remote locations in Macedonia and beyond, recording "living memories" from local communities that have been passed down for generations.
- Archaeological Evidence: Correlating forgotten sites with historical texts and topographical data.

My work is also presented in a narrative form in my historical novels. My latest book, "Adilos Tafos: The Unmarked Tomb of Alexander the Great", is available in English on Amazon Kindle:
I invite you to look at the evidence, the maps, and the photographs. History is a puzzle, and sometimes the most important pieces are found where no one else is looking.
